About Our Ballet Classes
FAQ
Yes! Our adult classes are designed with beginners and returning dancers in mind. Whether you're stepping into a studio for the first time or revisiting a childhood passion, you'll find a welcoming, judgment-free environment respect for every student’s starting point.
Only if you're attending a pointe class and have received teacher approval. Pointe work requires a solid foundation in ballet technique, so we recommend starting with ballet classes to build strength and alignment before progressing to pointe.
Bring a water bottle, a towel if you like, and the appropriate footwear—ballet or pointe shoes for dance classes, and grip socks or bare feet for pilates, contemporary and barre. Yoga mats are useful for conditioning classes.
For ballet and pointe classes, we recommend a leotard, tights, and ballet or pointe shoes, but mature and adult students are welcome to wear what feels comfortable—fitted activewear and soft ballet slippers are perfectly fine. For Pilates and barre fitness, wear comfortable, stretchy workout clothes and grip socks or bare feet—no shoes needed.
Adult classes focus on enjoyment, body awareness, and personal growth rather than performance or competition. They move at a more accessible pace, with modifications available for different fitness levels and physical needs, creating a space where adults can reconnect with movement in a supportive and inspiring setting.
Our studios are located at 29 Sending Road, Brackenfell, and 11 Falcon road, Durbanville, Cape Town. We have large, safe street parking areas.
